We had been given a task to search information about Creative Multimedia. Since we are unable to get any definition about Creative Multimedia, we search creative and multimedia separately. According to Wikipedia, creative is referring to materials, imagery, or collateral prescriptively produced through creativity and the creative process, and multimedia is media and content that uses a combination of different content forms include a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video, and interactivity content forms. So it can be concluded that Creative Multimedia means the ability to produce the media uses a combination of text, audio, images, animation video and interactivity content forms through creativity.
So we search about creative multimedia. It really includes lots of elements. After the discussion we made, we decided to choose movie as our title. As we know, movie is part of the entertainment, and nowadays most of the entertainment related to multimedia. Movie is actually the informal word for “film”. It is a sequence of photographs projected onto a screen with sufficient rapidly as to create the illusion of motion and continuity. It is produce by recording images with cameras, or creating images using animation techniques. It is also a connected cinematic narrative represented in this form.
In most of the movies nowadays, special effects are being used to enhance the greatness of movies, and of course, special effects are done with creative multimedia. Special effects consist of visual effects and sound effects. Visual effect is the various processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shoot. Visual effects often involve the integration of live-action footage and computer generated imagery in order to create environments which look realistic, but would be dangerous, costly, or simply impossible to capture on film. The use of visual effects has become increasingly common in high-budget films, and has also recently become accessible to the amateur filmmaker with the introduction of affordable and simpler animation and compositing software. Of course some skills and talents are needed to create nice visual effects.
On the other hand, sound effect, or audio effect is the sound that created artificially, or the sound that had been emphasized for movies. In a movie, sound effects are sound that recorded and presented to make specific feeling in certain point without the use of dialogue or music. Dialogue, music and sound effects recordings are treated as separate elements in professional movie production. Dialogue and music never referred to as sound effects, but the process applied to the often are called sound effects, such as reverberation or flanging effects.
Some of the movies are created in animations. Computer animation is a process of creating moving images with computers. It is actually a lot of still images that are similar but slightly advanced in the time domain, and display repeatedly. This technique is just how the television and cartoon movies work. For 3D animations, the objects are built on computer, and the 3D figures are rigged with virtual skeleton, and all frames must be rendered after modeling is complete. For 2D animations, separate objects and many transparent layers are used.
After telling about some of the techniques and elements use in movies, we also did some research on movie device. As we can see from here, movie devices are used to let the audience enjoy the movies through the device. Online movie device, such as Youtube, Veoh TV, Dailymotion and so on, able to display the movies to let the audience watch. These movie devices download the movies temporary, and the audience can watch the online streaming movies. The online movie devices are good to use as they are free of charge, easy to use, and many choices. Of course, the increase of the use of online movie device might bring destroying the film industry.
Besides online movie device, we also found that electronic movie devices are greater than online movie devices. Electronic movie devices such as film projector, monitor, television, amplifier and etc somehow able to give the audience enjoy one movie to the max. The greatest enjoy while watching movies is able to watch a high quality movie in a big screen with nice audio device. To fully use the electronic devices, the customers have to buy DVD to enjoy the movies. However this doesn’t mean that it’ll save the film industry as there are lots of pirated DVD around the world.
There are lot more things about movies. Movies are an incredible media which are able to tell stories, bring information, communicate and entertain others. Movies industry is also a business, such as Hollywood, doing movie or film business. All in all, movie is a great element in creative multimedia that will bring entertainment, satisfaction and information to the audience..
